Peep Art!

A homage to Those yellow and sticky Confections

Peep 1

Her modest looks the cottage might adorn,
Sweet as the primrose peeps beneath the thorn.

Commentary
At first glance one could easily dismiss this work as a sophmoric sophomore effort. However, as one grows closer to it, the deepness of the piece becomes apparent. The usually quiet, docile peep has risen from its slumber for revenge, with its two burning eyes looking at its victim: you. In the actual piece hanging in Carnegie Mellon BH342C, the tail of the peep is detached from the paper, underscoring the peep's insistence for revenge. While later works deal with the human psyche's need for horror on a more surface level, the latent quality of this piece is perhaps more potent.
